Staycation - Day 4
What happened to days 2 and 3, you ask? Well, we had some things to take care of. Yard work, laundry, bank, dmv, etc. but we picked back up with a trip to Fort Sumter on day 4.
First and probably most important Fort Sumter tip: Call ahead to see if there is a school field trip that day! Ugh!
Not much for crowds anyway, but this is a touristy thing, so it was expected.
We got some good pictures of the bridge and the USS Yorktown before the ferry left the dock.
It was pretty windy and cold on the ferry out to the fort, but it was cool to hear about and read about the history and changes that have happened over the years.
We had about an hour to walk around the fort. Wish we had about 30 more minutes because we were a little rushed at the end.
